"Why do you write?"
This is a question I was supposed to answer last week, as part of The Book Challenge by Omer Barak and Rotem Nir Nechmias. But I was busy with my startup, and I kept pushing off their writing tasks…
And...
I planned to sit down with them on Friday.
But, as we all know, reality had other plans. I found myself spending the entire weekend shut inside the shelter, half the time sleeping, half the time reading books.
And 100% of the time upset that I had postponed writing…
Looking back, good thing I did!
In hindsight, that turbulent weekend gave me the perfect answer to their first writing challenge – “the Why challenge.”
That unsettling weekend gave me the perfect answer:
Life in Israel is complicated. Both I and the people around me keep breaking, again and again and again and again and again…
And it’s okay to break.
But it’s important to remember that life goes on.
And I write to remind us of that!
So now I ask you:
"Why do you write?"
